Do you dream of swapping your daily commute for relaxing on the beach while watching spectacular sunsets, your cubicle walls for ancient Mayan ruins, or your routine for thrilling adventures? Are you tired of working to live? Do you yearn to live a life full of travel, exploration, and impact? Many of us harbor a deep desire to travel more, but the financial realities often keep those dreams just that: dreams. Did you know you can make a sustainable living, explore the world, and experience travel with fabulous perks, all while helping others fulfill their travel aspirations? You can do that and more as a Fora travel agent!
Lend me your eyes for a few minutes. Let me tell you about the world of becoming a Fora travel agent (or travel advisor) and why I enjoy it so much. Learn how you can transform your passion for travel into a thriving career. Find out why Fora Travel is the ideal host agency, the incredible benefits you’ll gain, and the simple steps to starting your very own travel business. Get ready to turn your wanderlust into wealth!
Choosing the right host agency is key for success, especially for beginners. A host agency is a parent company that you’re contracted under as an independent contractor. It already has partnerships with travel suppliers, necessary licenses, and infrastructure set up for operating a travel agency. A host agency allows you to run an independent travel agency under its umbrella using its IATA number. Fora has everything set up for you to operate a successful travel business. Once you’ve gotten enough experience and clients under your belt, you can branch off and start your own larger agency with your own IATA number and partnerships.
But! Fora isn’t just a host agency; it’s a vibrant, supportive community designed to empower you to build a prosperous travel business on YOUR terms. Here’s why you should seriously consider joining the Fora Travel Advisor community:
Forget feeling lost. Fora offers a top-tier training curriculum developed by industry experts. You’ll get access to recorded lessons, super informative live group training sessions, and certification programs to guide your learning journey. This means you can start booking trips the day you join, equipped with the knowledge and confidence you need.
Fora’s extensive network of preferred partnerships with hotels, cruise lines, and other travel providers. This means you can offer your clients (and yourself!) awesome benefits and perks. Think room upgrades, complimentary breakfasts, resort credits, and even occasional free travel. Fora also offers increased commission rates at select partner properties. Fora simplifies the often complex world of operating a travel business by handling invoicing, payment tracking, and commission payouts so you can focus on planning amazing trips.
Fora leverages the latest technology to make being a travel advisor easier than ever. You’ll have access to Fora’s IATA number (your license to sell travel), an all-in-one booking platform, client-management tools, and secure client card collection and storage tools. This streamlines your operations, allowing you to focus on what you do best: crafting unforgettable travel experiences.
You’re not alone on this journey. Fora fosters a diverse, inclusive, and engaged global community of travel professionals. You’ll benefit from live networking events, a dedicated community app for collaboration and support, as well as weekly online community and partner events. This network provides invaluable insights, tips, and a sense of belonging while you build your business.
Fora empowers entrepreneurs. Whether you want to do like me and work your business part-time as a side hustle or transition into a full-time career (I plan to do that soon), Fora provides the flexibility to set your own hours. Whoop! Whoop! And, you can work from anywhere in the world! YOU are YOUR BOSS, building a business around YOUR lifestyle, not the other way around. #Winning!
Getting started as a Fora travel agent is straightforward, even if you’re a complete beginner.
Okay. Now, a little more about why I love what I do. Being a travel agent isn’t just about booking trips for others; it also comes with incredible personal perks. One of my favorites is getting the inside scoop on travel deals and being able to book early, often before the general public even knows about them. Everyone who knows me knows I’m a bargain shopper. Anything that saves me money, I’m on it! When you see me out traveling, best believe I got a great deal, or else I wouldn’t be there!
Yes! I can’t think of many, but there certainly is at least one. When you start as a travel advisor with Fora, you will start on the lower end of the commission split. Fora offers a 70% commission split starting out, but as you increase your sales and hit benchmarks, your commission split will increase. Some agencies offer higher commission splits at first start, and there are others that offer much lower than 70%. However, the value, community, and support that Fora offers far outweigh the cons, in my opinion.
The world is waiting, and so is your opportunity to live a life fueled by travel and purpose. Becoming a Fora travel agent is more than just a career change; it’s a lifestyle transformation. You have the flexibility to work from anywhere. You gain the knowledge to craft incredible, unforgettable journeys, and the community to support your entrepreneurial spirit. Imagine waking up in a new destination each month, excited to plan someone else’s dream vacation, knowing that you’re building your own business and making dreams come true while roaming the globe.
